Assalamualakum Warahmatullah Wabaraktuhu,
Yesterday the team at Dar al Quran finished cleaning and moving all our belongings out of our rental house. Over the years, the House has become a landmark for our community, so the last of our events being held there marks the end of an era, and the beginning of a new chapter InshaAllah.
Over the years, our wonderful community has poured endless hours of time and energy into transforming the house into a thriving community hub and place of belonging for anyone who attended. We have hosted many of our great Shaykhs, classes, weekly dhikr gatherings, full time Quran Hifz programmes, weekly madrassa classes and so much more.
The house may be empty now but our hearts are full. Seeing our community pull together, our volunteers working tirelessly to get our new home in order and the spirit of our madrassa kids who helped every step of the way has made us excited for what the future holds InshaAllah. Our focus has always been about building relationships, and the connections formed and memories are ones we will forever cherish Alhamdulillah.
We cannot acknowledge enough the contributions and sacrifices of our community, but we would like to thank Ustadha Shanaaz, Aunty Shegufta and Shaykh Qays & the Full-time Hifz students for the dedication and the countless unseen hours, rarely recognised, they have spent packing up the house and moving us into the shed.
A heartfelt JazakAllahu Khairan to each and every one who offered up their time and energy towards the house and the Dar al Quran community. Your contributions over the past 7 years have been invaluable. We would not be able to do this without your continuous support. We look forward to making new memories with you all InshaAllah.
